Modify detail attributes in SOPs

Hi,

Is there a way to modify detail attributes wihout leaving SOPs?

The attribute page in the documentation suggests it can be done in a Primitive SOP but I can’t see where I’d do that.

Alternatively I’d use a script SOP but I can’t see anything about accessing detail attribs in the documentation either.
