ok so one feature of the old V2 SDK I miss is the Player Index image which made it simple to pull a mask for background substitution effects.
The new Player Index image in the Azure Kinect DK is both of poorer quality and exhibits much latency which makes it useless for masking.
The only alternative is to finesse the Depth Image to pull a mask but after a few days I am only able to get a partial solution. ie the mask only works in a very narrow depth range.
I am fairly certain the information to pull a proper mask is available as evidenced in this Notch+Azure demo
In particular the Near and Far Clip Plane options as well as ‘Depth Clip Hardness’
Please, could you incorporate these into the Kinect Azure TOP!
