Movie File Out top changes color of image

I have been experiencing an erratic bug that occurs when using the movie file out top.
The problem is that sometimes the colors are radically different from the null top that feeds it.
It appears that a color channel (maybe blue or green) fails to make it into the mix.
Typically, the coloration looks much more red than normal.
My workaround has been to delete and create a new movie out top.
The annoying part is when I’ve made a sweet recording of a touch session, only to find that the colors are off and I have to redo the whole thing.
Not sure how to replicate this bug, as it happens erratically. But once it occurs, that movie out top appears to be corrupted and will continue with the same problem.

Thomas do you experience this with a particular codec selected?

In the past my way around this has been to save out files with the animation codec, then transcode them in after effects. This makes for enormous files that are true to the color I’m seeing in Touch while I’m working.

This has happened to me too with build 61100 and the photo/jpeg codec.

Interesting, I’ve never heard of this one before. Any chance next time it happens you can post both the incorrect image and what you expect the correct image to look like so I can get an idea of what’s happening?
Thanks

Luckily I still have two correct videos and two incorrect videos. In both comparisons, the red and blue channels got swapped. I checked this by using a channel mix TOP.

Matthew: Yes, this occurs with photojpeg codec only.
David: swapping red and blue channels sounds correct.

What GPU are you using? Any idea if the input TOP’s pixel format is something other than 8-bit RGBA?
