I tried to use the moviePlaylist from the palette and it seems to be broken or maybe I just don’t know how to use it. I select a folder of videos, Init and start and nothing.
Working for me here, just clicking ‘start’ and you’ll see them start playing.
Are you dragging in a new one from the palette in 2023.12230? Without changing the path does it work for you on the default Movie folder provided? When you specify your own path, go inside the find the folder1 DAT, do you see a list of paths. If not, the movies in your chosen folder may not have extensions that TouchDesigner considers movie or image extensions. This might give some clues anyways, let us know what you find.
Yes the default ones play. The folder of custom videos, mp4s do not. But those videos do play if I drag them in to TD normally as moviefilein tops. If I point the playlist player to my videos folder in windows docs of random screencaptures it also plays. So I am not sure what makes this other custom video folder so special.
What does the folder1 DAT inside report when you point to that folder of custom videos? Or any Folder DAT for that matter, if you can figure out what is keeping them from loading into a Folder DAT I think that will be the solution.
macOS? WIndows? Can you screenshot the path and filenames?
