Im trying to output 2 Video feeds (2 rendered perspectives) with and output it for example with a Blackmagic Card through Video Device Out. I need to link the switch that comes before the video device out to the genlock output even or odd frames. when I put me.time.frame % 2 into the switch it switches back and forth every frame but I think it will not always match the even odd frame of the ref signal being sent to the deckling card. How could I get the switch to follow the ref in?
A genlock signal does not contain any frame information, it is just a timing pulse. I’m not sure if the signal contains the concept of the even/odd frame, but we don’t have a way of extracting that from the Blackmagic card if so.
What you may need to do is encode a timecode value along with the frames, then you can make decisions based on that.
