Would it be possible to enhance the Field COMP so that it supports multi-lines input like regular Text DAT?
As well for Table COMP ?
in 77, Field COMP can handle multiline Text. you should change the “string” Table DAT to a Text DAT inside the field comp, and use shift+enter for newlines. in 88, there’s a bug with entering newlines, but will be fixed in builds 5200 or later.
Really cool tip Selina. I didn’t even know of it for 77. The function is much needed and was the last serious obstacle to me for making more advanced applications. Thanks!
That said, for the wishlist, it could be hugely beneficial in terms of usability and design, to have the exact same implementation of keyboard and navigation of Text DAT and Table DAT into the Field COMP and table COMP.
That is: arrows keys navigation in the four directions, ‘Enter’ for newlines, etc.
