Hello, Windows 11 here (Rtx 4080)
Not sure if its just my VST that’s the problem but I was able to run 5 separate audioVST Chops before on an older version of TD.
On 2025.32050 it seems to keep crashing.
I would send over the .dmp file but it seems its just 0Kb.
The VST im using is S.K.Y Studios: Sky Keys
Let me know how i can be more useful.
1 VST works fine.
2 VST Chops of the same VST immediately crashes. Every time. Brand new project file even.
Does it crash in the latest official build: 2025.32280? There are some fixes in that build that address some recent VST instability.
Ah! Didn’t know I was out of date, thank you. Just upgraded, here’s my findings.
TD 2025-32280
1 Audio VST with SKY Keys, loads in fine.
2 Audio VST with SKY Keys, loads in fine.
Pressing the reload button crashes.
5 Audio VSTs loads fine.
5 Audio VST and pressing reload, works fine.
Delete back down to 2 Audio VSTs, press reload, crashes.
It seems loading many VSTs is better on 2025.32280. But still crashes consistently on a blank project with the reload button.
Thanks for testing. I don’t have the SKY Keys plugin, so the only other plugin I was able to reproduce with was Omnisphere, but I believe it’s the same crash. I made some further stability improvements that fixed the crashes I was experiencing with Omnisphere. Can you give this build a try and let me know if it also fixes the crashes for you?
2025.32298:
Placed an audio vst in the jellybeans starter.
Set it to my VST.
Copy and pasted this AudioVST Chop → Immediate crash.
4-5 times. Same result whether copypasting, or placing fresh operators and setting the path manually, 2 - 5 chops. Always crashes.
Is that with any plugin or specifically with SKY Keys?
Looks like just SKY Keys. (Spitfire) LABS seems to work okay, but that’s all I have to test. Reloading as well seems to be fine on all 5 chops.
2 occurances of the Keys VST seems to crash every time.
And just to confirm: this same crash with multiple SKY Keys VST CHOPs loaded does not occur in 2023.10000 builds, correct? I’ll try and test with that specific plugin.
Sky Keys AudioVST CHOP, even 5 copy pastes, and multiple reloads, seems to work fine on 2023.12600
Okay, thanks for double checking. I will get a license to SKY Keys to test with. I can’t seem to reproduce the behavior with any other plugin I have.
