mutliple cams

i’m looking at doing a fulldome project and i have managed to build a patch with five cams in but now i want them all on one texture side by side. i have five projectors at say, 800x600 so i want to put the five cams on a texture 4000x600. do i have to have each one on a ‘billboard’ type object and offset each in the transform? what’s that 'billboard object called in touch? can i just stick them all in a composite top?

There are many ways to do this. If you are just playing video and don’t care about rendering, you can use multiply Composite TOPs to build up your final image.
If you know how to use Panels you can use 5 panels inside one bigger panel and display the bigger panel as your final output.
If you want to render it, you can use a Rectangle SOP inside a Geometry COMP, and use a Phong MAT or Constant MAT to apply the texture to the geometry.
