We have added a new Discourse plugin that enables a ‘Daily Digest’ similar to the setup we had in the old phpbb forum. This is a new setting that can be enable in your forum preferences under the “Email” section.
So now there are options for
- Activity summary - standard Discourse notifications - “When I don’t visit here, send me an email summary of popular topics and replies”
- Mailing list mode - an email for every action in the forum, rather spammy but you do you!
- Send daily email summaries - New ‘Daily Digest’ sends a daily email with all the posts of the day.
