Hi,
I’m exporting H.265 (HEVC) 10-bit from Movie File Out TOP on my RTX 4070, but the exported file is 8-bit despite selecting YUV 4:2:0 or 4:4:4 (10-bit). Is true 10-bit HEVC possible in TD, or is there a workaround?
Thanks!

How are you determining it’s 8-bit? By default the Movie File In TOP decodes down to 8-bit, but i you turn on Hardware Decoding, then it’ll decode to higher bit depth.
Thanks for the response! I was aware that the Movie File In TOP decodes to 8-bit by default, but I checked the exported file using VLC, and noticed it as 8-bit.
Where can I enable Hardware Decoding in TouchDesigner?
It’s on the ‘Tune’ page for the Movie File In TOP.
I don’t see that number in VLC (any bit depth). Where do you see 8-bit in VLC?
