little update:
Player Index now seems to “work”, but very choppy. It only works for a short time and quickly looses the player, also it glitches a lot
You might want to try turning on the kinect logging to see if there are any additional errors messages. There is some information on that here: Azure Kinect Sensor SDK: Error and event logging
As far as the quality of the tracking: any chance the camera is in the wrong orientation i.e. upside down or at an extreme angle? The camera may have problems with reflective materials as well
Hi Tob, thanks for the reply!
I will check the logs and further investigate this. It seems like the Azure is generally quite janky when it comes to this, since my other Azure performs exactly the same.
I also just put it in a tripod on eye level, not rotateg or anything, also with normal clothes on (neither black nor reflective).
Can you share a .toe file so that I can try to produce this with your specific case?
I’m also observing some strange behavior with the Player Index, but not sure if it’s the same as your observations. For me, running the Player Index in a Kinect Azure Select TOP, it mostly works smooth but I experience frequent freezes.
However, on just the Kinect Azure TOP it runs quite smooth.
Thanks,
Varad
tbh it is a quite straightforward patch, I have shared it here

Is it that even with ‘Sync Image to Body Tracking’ turned on in the Kinect Azure TOP, you get the issues?
Does switching to the ‘lite’ Body Tracking Model offer any improvements for you?
