Norton putting TD (free, current) into quarantine for idp.generic contact

I do not have very much experience with TouchDesigner but have used it a number or times. Today Norton started quarantining TD each time I went to enter the first cell of an empty table-dat. I reinstalled several times and got the same results with that same action every time. My virus scans continue to be clean after each reload and each incident.

I checked the support forum for past posts and found nothing on this problem. Has anyone reported similar occurrences with this occurring with this or any other operator? If so, were you able to determine whether it was a false positive? What was your resolution?

I apologize if the Bugs category was not proper. But the behavior was worrisome I wanted to err on the side of caution.

Hi @neilmber,

occasionally software like virus scanners can flag other software as a false positive.
We usually inform the maker to whitelist us.

In your specific case though, are you making use of Syncing the file to disc?
Can you get a more detailed report when the quarantining is happening? This would be helpful for us to share with Norton.
