I’ve been experiencing frequent crashes in TouchDesigner whenever I try to add a new operator. This issue was present even before the 2023.12370 update, but the key difference now is that I receive an error message suggesting that I install an older version of the Nvidia driver. (My graphic card: RTX 4060 Laptop)
The problem is that I need the latest Nvidia driver to run DaVinci Resolve, so rolling back isn’t an option for me.
Is there an estimated timeline for a fix? I’m considering upgrading to the PRO version once this issue is resolved.
Nvidia is working on the issue, but there is no known timeline for the fix yet.
In our experience this occurs when both VRR and HDR is turned on on the monitor. Are either of those enabled on your laptop?
I experienced this issue before the 12370 update. Previously, TouchDesigner would crash without any error message, but now it displays one instead. I assume the engineers are already aware of this. (Error message as the image)
All my laptop drivers are up to date, and no unnecessary applications are running in the background. The crash occurs approximately once every four attempts to add a new operator, regardless of whether I **double-click, press Tab, or right-click.
