Nvidia SDK touchengine in green hippo

Hi

I’m in the process of making some Imag effect for a show running on a green hippo server, but I can’t seem to get nvidias background removal to run inside the hippo software. Tox is running as it should inside TD when loaded via an engine OP

Does anyone have any experience with this?
Any help is appreciated

What GPU does that machine have? Does the Background removal work when you run TouchDesigner standalone on that machine?

Its a 4090. Yeah works fine in TouchDesigner.

We’ve had conflicts before when other software tries to load different versions of the Nvidia libraries, or possibly touchengine can’t find the nvidia libraries or models when started from inside green hippo?

Do you know what error is showing on the nvidia op?

I’ve tried pointing to the nvidia models with abs path and putting the models in the folder with tox file. No luck. Cant see any error inside hippo when loading the tox. Just say the file is loaded.
Tried installing differnt versions of the nvidia broadcast sdk on the machine as well.

Do you have a tip for getting possible errors in to hippo? Maybe printing the textport to a top or something like that.

Tried doing a quick notch block on my home machine (3080 laptop) and that works fine, but i’d much rather to it in Touch

When TouchEngine.exe is runing under GreenHippo, can you go to the task manager and ensure that the path is the version you expect. I’m not sure if GreenHippo ships with a specific version of TouchDesigner, or it uses what you’ve installed on the machine

An OP Viewer TOP pointing at an Error DAT should work, if your only route out is TOPs. Alternatively a Error DAT → Touch Out DAT and then a Touch In DAT in TouchDesigner.

Okay got it running! The machine had three different versions of TouchDesigner on it, and opened the wrong one and something two at the same time. So thats what caused the problem.
Everything is running smoothly now

Thanks for the help and tips!
