Omnidirectional Stereo Content (ODS)

To improve the distribution of 360 content (VR headsets, CardBoards etc), it would be great to be able to render in 360 AND stereo.
Like ODS by Google :

Unity seems to have this feature already :

Stereo CubeMap rendering & Google’s ODS projection to create 2 equirectangular images.

Yes, this would be really important. There seems to be no solution to this problem right now?
When using two cameras with the Render TOP in Cubemap format, then convert to latlong with Projection TOP the Stereo is broken.
There needs to be a proper Omni‐directional Stereo workflow!
I don’t think it’s such a rare case, as 360 video is not dead at all at the moment.
