Hi,
Second question of a newbie…
Thanks to tutorials, I have a nice project in TD, which shows nicely in the geometry viewer, but I would want to show it on a projector with just a full screen view. It is a black background with two spheres on it.
1.) I can’t get it to show in the Top Viewer or via Open Viewer. I tried adding an ‘out’, but there’s already two ‘Out’ components that do other stuff, so I can’t seem to add another one. How can I watch something outside this geometry viewer?
2.) In another project, I do see something in Top Viewer and Open Viewer, but even in full screen mode, I see the time running at the bottom, and in the top, I see some menu options. So as soon as I have the previous issue solved, I still have this one. Is there any way to get an actual full screen visual? Just the black screen with my two spheres?
Thanks for any help.
I am including my project as attachement.

The way to output image to projector (or screen) is to use window Comp.
You just drop your last Top (usualy a null Top) to the “Window Operator”.
You can set the filling, border etc. of image inside window.
Thanks, Jacques! The documentation still a bit complex for me, but now I knew where to look for new tutorials.
I got it working with an old project. However, my current project with the two spheres has a null that shows a line… but I have added all sorts of SOP and CHOP elements after that (transform and such) that actually create the sphere. It sort of ‘ends’ with a geometry. Also, it has two spheres, so I would want both of them to appear in my one Window COMP.
I imagined I should add an operator that goes from Geometry to Top, but can’t find that. Also I tried adding an Op Viewer to the Geometry, that then goes to the Window Comp, but it only shows the geometric figure, not al it’s movement and colour… After a few forum searcher, soms documentation browsing en trying out things, hope you don’t mind to ask if you have more pointers for me.
Adding two screenshots of my project so far.

The project as a screen shot:
Hello,
I am far away from my computer.
But to go from Geometry to top, you need a render Top, a camera and a light.
Got it! Thanks!
But then, the render shows a ‘still’ of the spheres… A static image. In the geometry viewer, the spheres transform according to data I linked up (using arduino and a serial DAT). Both the spheres rotate and change colour depending on the data input they receive. I tested the data, that’s all coming in fine. I tried to open a Perform Window in de Window Comp, but still static.
I now have a camera and two geometries, that all go to one rende, then that goes to the new Window Comp i added. I tried connecting other elements into the render but don’t think that is possible.
I explored the forum and the wiki on Window Comp and Perform Mode, but haven’t found instructions that make sense yet.
Thanks for your patience with all these newbie questions! I really liked where my project was going, but without being able to project it on a screen, I can’t really use it yet.
Hello,
I opened your projecct, adding render and window but its seems your camera was completely wrong! looking at nothing.
I replaced with a fresh camera and replacing some of your sensor by lfo Chop and there is a moving image in the render.
Hope that helps.
Jacques
