When I start up a project where I will be using an Orbbec camera on MacOS using the sudo terminal command I am able to add an Orbbec Top and get input from the camera. If I save the project and quit TD and then re-open TD and try to load my project I don’t get any input from the Orbbec Top, but I get an error (probably a permissions error) and can’t use the camera input, no matter if I directly try to open the project using sudo. In this case it usually opens a default project, even if I give it the exact name on the sudo command. What are the steps I need to do in order to re-open a previously saved Orbbec project?
Sorry you’re experiencing this issue. I cannot reproduce the same problem on my end. I’m able to open saved .toe files with an Orbbec TOP and have that connect to my Orbbec camera.
Can you provide us with the following information to help us narrow down your issue:
What is the error message you are seeing?
What is your TouchDesigner version?
What is your computer model and its macOS version?
What is the Orbbec camera model and its firmware version?
Are you using USB or Ethernet to connect the camera to your computer?
How are you opening the saved file in TouchDesigner?
Does this issue happen every time you open the .toe file? Are you able to share with us the .toe file that causes the problem?
