Orbbec femto mega choppiness

Hi,
I’m seeing significant choppiness when using a new Orbbec Femto Mega via the kinect azure TOP. its OK Using their K4a viewer with all three streams (color, depth and point cloud) is very smooth so it doesn’t seem to be the connection. Im curious if anyone has this sensor working well/smoothly.

Are you using USB or Ethernet?

Ethernet. But using the orbbec K4a viewer is very smooth over ethernet, I would expect similar results in TD.

Just reporting working good for me today.
2023.11880 | win11pro | femto mega over ethernet and going through ubiquity switches

make sure your gpu driver is up to date while debugging or waiting for a response.

Are you using any of the azure select tops / azure kinect chop simultaneously?

I can’t seem to reproduce the choppiness either. I’m feeding the Kinect Azure TOP to a Kinect Azure Select TOP and Kinect Azure CHOP as well.

Are you noticing the issue with the Kinect Azure TOP by itself or do other OPs need to be used simultaneously?

Its when I’m connected via ethernet (so I can use the kinect CHOP) + when I have another Azure select TOP showing the point cloud for instance. So If I were to instance out the pointcloud and map the color image, every now and then i get these stutters where everything doesnt line up. (Hopefully that makes sense) I running it on a full size PC w/a 4090 so I suspect the PC is up to spec, and I dont see dropped frames in the network, it stays a solid 60.

Can you all let me know what firmware on the femtoMega + SDK.xml file you are using?
SDK: OrbbecSDKConfig_v1.0
Camera Firmware: 1.2.7

I’m working with the same firmware version and xml file as you.

Do you have “Sync Image to Body Tracking” enabled in the Kinect Azure TOP? It does produce some lag if you have it enabled. Or do you have “Body Tracking Processing Mode” at a non-zero value?
