Hey, I noticed that hokuyo is the typical reccommended soultion for LiDAR intergration with TouchDesigner, but I was curious if other LiDAR models for similar use cases could also work?
This would be great to have integrated. The price and specs are a lot better than Leuze and Hokuyo equivalents.

Is there a roadmap available to see when the SL 450 might be integrated into TD?
Compared to the Hokuyo and all the other supported Lidar sensors, this one seems to be really the best bang for the buck. I will have an installation later this year and want to know if it’s worth the wait or if I shall proceed with the Hokuyo by now…

we currently don’t have a timeline for this at the moment.
I might point out that if this is required for a project, we do offer Pro Support which does include adding SDKs, libraries, and protocols not currently supported in TouchDesigner.

Oh, that’s good to know. I didn’t know what pro support actually meant i.e. to what extend I can get use of. I just recently bought a Pro license - so that’s a good start. How many support hours can I expect to be needed for the implementation of the SL450 (comparable to the Hokuyo-CHOP)?
