Two weeks ago, I made a project for a new electrical factory in Alpes (France).
EDF (french electricity distributor) gave me a fbx from the place but not very well made and it was impossible to make a real UV mapping. I decided to use texture with “Perspective from Camera”, but I have some problem/question about it.
-The texture is on the side facing the camera but the other faces have the trace of the image edge (the most annoying)
- the texture adapt the size to the face, so I have dimension distortions
- I cannot use easely different texture for different faces (I need separate geometry for each face)
Now I am triyng another technic, using projection map with cone light but I am limited to the “Simple Horizontal FOV”, producing distortions for different distance. The system works but is much more complex to set.
If I try to" Use View Settings" with Orthographic Projection, I have the texture size problem.
I send the output with the two solutions and the project. I someone can help me to solve the problem, it would be great for me an the future projects.
