Parameters no longer affect light node after using Viewer Active

Hello,
After moving a light around in its Viewer Active, eventually I can no longer affect the light using the Parameters (Translate, Rotate, Scale, Pivot, Dimmer - were the parameters I tested). Fix I’ve found is to restart the project, but it would be nice to not have to do that.

Hardware: Ryzen 9 5900X, RTX 3070 (Driver 516.94)

Sorry you’re having problems. I’ve tried reproducing the issue on my machine, but haven’t been able to so far.

Do you have any other non-default settings on the light that could be affecting it? If you click the little target symbol in the top-right corner of the parameter box it will show only the parameters that have been changed.

When you say you’re moving the light around in the viewer, are there any particular moves that break the parameters or does it just happen somewhat randomly after time? When the parameters are in the broken state, do they still update if you go back to moving the camera in the viewer? Do the changes you entered into the parameter box get undone i.e. if you set the translate x parameter to 5, and then move the camera in the x direction in the viewer, does it start moving from 5 or start from wherever the viewer thinks it is.

Also, if you right-click in the active viewer and select Home All from the menu to reset the camera position. Does that get the parameters working again?

I’ve tried reproducing the problem after a few days, and I guess it was just user error? I haven’t been able to reproduce it since. Thank you for trying to help with this.
