Perform Mode window doesn’t appear when target container height > 960 (TD freezes)

When my Window COMP targets a container taller than 960px, entering Perform Mode does not show the Perform window. Instead I still see the network editor (I can’t interact with it, and it is frozen), and after pressing Esc I remain partially locked out of the UI until restarting TouchDesigner. If I set the same container’s height to < 960, Perform Mode works normally.

Hi @steven-tbd

i’m assuming the Window COMP has all default settings?
Do you have multiple monitors attached?
When it is stuck, could you create a memory dump file via the details page of the windows task manager, zip it and send a link to us at support@derivative.ca?

Also interesting would be if using our latest official would change this behavior for you.

cheers
Markus

Hi Markus,
Thanks for the reply.

The window COMP has all the default settings.
The issues still happens when I disconnect my extra monitor.
The issue still happens after downloading the latest build.

Email sent. Thanks again.

Steven

Hey,

Can you post your .toe file just so we have the exact settings you have. Can you also confirm the resolution, display scaling and HDR settings for your display? Do you have VRR enabled?

My display scaling was set above 100%, and was affecting perform mode for all of my .toe files.

Thank you @malcolm and @snaut for your replies.
I apologize for the post.

That should still be ok, just make sure you have your ‘DPI Scaling’ parameter in the Window COMP set to ‘Native’, if you don’t want the scaling to be applied to the window size

Gotcha, that works.

Thanks again for your help, and sorry for thinking it was a bug.
