Point File In - TOP / .ply file format not loading

Since the last version (33070), .ply pointcloud file don’t load in the Point File In top. Did reinstall the 32820 and everything load as intended.

Hi @pllecours

can you see if the included .ply file loads appropriate:
app.samplesFolder + '/PointClouds/bananaNorm.ply'

Just make sure to redo the channel assignment on the Point Data page.

This works for me in 2025.33070. If this works, but another .ply doesn’t, would you be able to share the file with us so we can have a look?

@huck Will this be a hot fix or proper release? Figuring out if I should downgrade or just wait a few days ish.

All my ply files in a previously working project are broken at the moment. any eta on this fix or workarounds? If it helps, they’re all PLYs created in Luma or Polycam.

we are looking at a release in the coming week or so. Until then we would recommend using 2025.32820 if possible and this feature is needed.
