Problem of load Ply file in Ponint file in

I can’t load ply file by Point file in TOP. error message said just they failed file load.
I can load banana ply in default TD asset. How could I load another ply file?

Hi @taein,

could it be that the .ply file is corrupted? Can it be loaded in other software?
Is it possible for you to share the file here so we can have a look?

Hi @taein, you didn’t mention which build you are using, but older builds used to have an issue loading files into the Point File In TOP when there is a unicode character in the file path. So any Chinese, Korean, or Japanese character for example. This is fixed in newer builds, but it might be worth checking your file path.

Oh It was the problem. My file path has Koran character. I moved file in another path(not included Korean), it works well. thank you.

Could you tell us what TouchDesigner build you are using, because this should be fixed in the latest builds.

If you are using the latest build, could you let us know the path you had, we would really like to fix this case so it doesn’t happen again. I tested with Japanese character and it works.
