Problems with DMX Out and Artnet Controller

Hello there,

I am a beginner in TD and have problems with the DMX out chop. It does not seem to communicate with the ArtNet controller I have set up:

It has a static IP of 192.168.0.50 with the subnet 255.255.0.0.

Is there any way I can check if TD is actually sending data to the device?

I usually use the free software lightjams.com/artnetominator/ to check ArtNet traffic.

And if you send to a broadcast or multicast address for your local network you can see the traffic on all other machines which can help in this case.

Don’t forget to disable Windows Firewall.

For Art-Net you will want to change your IP address to 2.x.x.x or 10.x.x.x usually with a 255.0.0.0 subnet mask.
Also, probably the best diagnostic tool for Art-Net is DMX Workshop from Artistic Licence art-net.org.uk/resources/dmx-workshop/

Thank you so much for your help. It worked finally, I got it up and running. There was a problem with the IP address of the device and the network on my pc, but got it sorted. Also thanks for the tip about the diagnostic tools!
