I imagine this is a pretty common beginner problem with this TOP, but I’m trying to export movie files from my network and the movie files it outputs aren’t synced properly.
TD should be running at 60 FPS, but with all the TOP processing, output doesn’t play back in the network editor in real-time. When I press record, playback slows down to about 10 FPS. The resulting videos rendered by MovieFileOut playback the material at 2-4x speed than i want.
I’ve ensured to turn off the ‘real-time’ button before recording. I’ve connected a time-sliced audio CHOP and tried nearly every codec, but the problem is persisting.
What am I doing wrong here?
I’ve always bypassed it altogether and recorded via Spout2 out TOP or NDI out TOP as a capture source in OBS. You’ll just have to have one of those installed with the matching plugin for OBS Studio first.
I’ve always been able to record 100mbit 4k without drops on my aging desktop.

Turn off the realtime, Run this movie_file_export.toe file to render it.
movie_file_export

Hey thanks for the response. I am trying this out but having a bit of trouble getting it to work. When I run it, it seems to consistently render the default movie file from the ‘MovieFileIn’ TOP.
I might look into this! Having persistent issues with this ‘MovieFileOut’ TOP
