Pulse() not working as expected...why?

This script in a Text DAT sort of works

op.Watercolor.par.Reset2.pulse()

but doesn’t work the same as if I actually press the Reset2 button with my mouse.

Why aren’t they the same?

Please provide file and description of difference…
