Question about exporting a long video

Hello,

I have a question about exporting a long video around 5 to 10 minutes.

I tried to export a video that is about 10 minutes long but it started lagging around 4 to 5 minutes. The FPS was 60 at first. However, it went around 30 or below after few minutes.

The system is all formed with TOPs only.

Do you have any tips for exporting a long video?

Hey @Kanju,

are you using the Movie File Out TOP for recording the video or are you using the Export Movie Dialog?

Thanks for the reply.

First, I was using the Movie File Out TOP but since it starts lagging around 3 minutes, I started using the Export Movie Dialog. Even though, it still lags from around 4 to 5 minutes

Hello @Kanju,

a few questions:

  • does the exported video show any framedrops?
  • does the file itself show the same behaviour when running it for 4 to 5 minutes?
  • when it starts getting slow, can you look at the Dialogs>Performance Monitor and see what causes the long cooks?
