record a sound in real-time and save a sound file

Hello All,

I hope you are doing well,
I may be missing something huge & right in my face, but I can’t quite figure out how to record and save a sound file in real-time in TD. For example: I am running in perform mode and I have a microphone input. I would like to record my voice to .wav file for 10 seconds any time I hit a key.
I checked the sound intro in the wiki and the Record CHOP but I only see a method with a right -click. derivative.ca/wiki088/index. … With_CHOPs

trail chop and some scripting might do the trick I think.
