Record CHOP bug?

Build 2019.33020, Win 10.

So, I was playing with the Record CHOP. I noticed that when recording in Auto Range Mode, and if I record more than 10 secs, the index in the viewer and the start attribute from Info CHOP goes to negative. Then, when I switch over to Add mode for record, the record CHOP only loops the 10 sec range in the positive end. It does not record over the data in the negative range, instead it zeroes out the data in the negative range.

I believe this is a bug. I can provide an example toe file if that would help.

Thank you.

As far as I can tell, the record CHOP is a bit bunked. I wrote a RFE thread awhile ago about it but it didn’t get a response so I’ll bump yours with a link for attention. Trail CHOP/Record CHOP features

We’re listening, this just keeps getting pushed to the side priority wise.
We’ll try to look at a Record CHOP overhaul soon, in the meantime the Trail CHOP can be rigged as a good recorder as @owenkirby shows in this awesome tutorial here: https://derivative.ca/community-post/tutorial/how-audio-touchdesigner

Yup, I went with Owen’s suggestion. Ended up using Trail and Splice.

Thank you guys!
