record live content single cam and automatically arrange composition (different slots)

Hello everybody!

I’m begginer and for a project i still didn’t managed to find a way how i can manage and find out really which chops i need for the tool i want to create.

Basically I want to record with a Webcam (VideoDeviceIn) and have a rec button (on/off) which saves the clip recorded. Each clip should appear on a same output canva (black bg) Each clip appear from the left to the right if something is recorded. I tried to make an Image to make it more clear.
Does someone know how to do that or can help me finding out where to start ? I would be really greatfull I tried to look around but didn’t really find something / don’t know how to incorporate into this idea.

u can put a folder dat and point that to where you are saving your videos. Use a sort dat so that the videos get organized by date and then use a select dat with the number of rows matching the number of videos then u can put 9 movie file in tops and reference the path using “op(‘select1’)[me.digits,‘path’]” then you can composite these moviefileout’s however you like.
to keep things organized u can also use a replicator for the movie file outs
