Recording OSC into Trail CHOP auto-clears on some events; Record CHOP not affected

When recording OSC from another program, I noticed my Trail chop would clear (but not reset its length) on certain events. I haven’t been able to figure out what exactly is triggering this but I have the recorded data locked into a TOP file. In the file I’ve recorded into a Record (which has all the data) and a Trail (which is blank at the start, it had started recording at the same time as the Record but cleared itself 3-4 times without me pressing anything)

The trails in the Trail CHOP are cleared whenever new channels are added or removed.
If you know which channels to expect, you can use a Replace CHOP to create stand-ins for all the
channels before feeding them into the Trail CHOP.

Ahhhh ok that makes sense. It would be :100: if this was switchable or at least better documented— thanks for the info, I can work around this now!
