Referencing numBlocks from customised component's parameter

Hello!

I have a customized component containing a sequence parameter called ‘addIndex’. Inside of this base comp I have a constant chop and I would like to write some code in ‘value’ so that it updates according to the numBlocks value from the addIndex sequence. How could I do that?

Hi.
You can just use an expression pointing to that value:
Assuming the component is called ‘base1’ and the sequence header is called ‘AddIndex’ then the expression inside a child operator would be:

op(‘…/base1’).seq.AddIndex.numBlocks
