I would like to use Render Picking in an interaction system that could be of any render resolution. What I noticed was that the Pick Radius had no units, and the hits changed based on my render resolution.
See exhibit below (ortho render):
Pick position is left-most edge of screen. It seems the pick radius is in pixels, but the width of my Render is 1280, and if my radius is say 1200 it does not hit any more, so Pick Diameter is more correct?
Furthermore with this setup, if I double my resolution, the pick will not hit the geometry any more, unless I update my pick Radius to double as well.
So I’m wondering if I’m just mis-using the render pick somehow or something is fishy?
Could it makes sense for a normalized Pick Radius?
