I am working on a home Holiday display for a friend in the LA area and would like to use Touch Designer to create some cool live video effects. That said, my project seems to fall into a zone of project for which the TD licensing doesn’t quite cover.
- I am not a commercial project (believe me, I am losing money on this)
- In fact we would be considered non-profit because we raise money for a local school… no “non-profit” option for licenses.
- I don’t have a spare $600 to drop on something that is going to be seen for less than a month
- I will need some of the “commercial” license features (e.g. HD output).
- I am not a student at a registered institution (is there a list somewhere of which ones are registered?)
So, I am stuck but was looking to see if the forum has any answers before I turn to something else.
- Are there places which rent or loan out TD licenses? I’m looking for about 3 weeks in December.
- If the educational option ($300) was possible for me, I might be able to justify that but it’s a stretch.
- Any other ideas?
Thanks!
