RESOLVED [2025.32460] text console env variable does nothing

I activated the touch text console with the env variable echo TOUCH_TEXT_CONSOLE=1 a long time ago, now I tried to set it to 0 or delete the var totally but the console keeps appearing. I can’t find a way to make it go

In Edit->Preferences, at the bottom of the General page, you can set Console Mode to Default.
The environment variable would have set it to Native mode.
