I’m new to TD and have been using it for less than a week, but after learning the basics I have been loving the process of being creative in making all sorts of visuals. For some context, I am a music producer and DJ. I use Ableton for production and have been playing around with TDAbleton to automate parameters within my animations. That’s a lot of fun, but I am really looking to make my visuals audio-reactive to the music I’m playing during my set. I don’t use Ableton for DJing and I usually have a setlist that I follow, but I would love to have specific visuals for the songs within that set as well as the flexibility to improvise and incorporate other songs. I also have a lighting rig that I would love to sync with the visuals via DMX. The goal here is to create a system that syncs the visuals and lighting with the audio from my DJ mixer, automates certain parameters with the beat and changes visuals as I change songs freely.
What would be the best way to go about this? I’ve been looking all over the place and have found certain tutorials on small pieces of this, but I’m really wondering how to bring it all together. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
