There seems to have been a change in how character codes map to the Material Design Icons font.
This is in build 2020.25380:

Yes, we updated to the newer version of the icons in the 2020.40000 series. They redid their mappings in the newer versions. Should be stable going forward but we had to bite the bullet for this upgrade. I did try to remap the ones I could, but not everything could be auto remapped.
We are on this version in 2020.40000
