RESOLVED: Unable to alpha channel out of my AJA Corvid card

I an trying to output a Fill and Key signal from an AJA Corvid 88 card. I am able to get a Fill signal, but when I select 8 bit + 8 bit key I get an eror saying “Invalid pixel format” I was able to make this owrk with a Blackmagic Decklink card, but would prefer to use the AJA Corvid card.
Can you advise?

Hey,
Currently this feature isn’t supported for AJA cards. Sorry. Blackmagic is the only choice right now.

Hello,
please is this feature planned for future? Thanks.

Yep, this feature has been added in the 2019.30000 series of builds.

Great, thank you very much for information.

Hi,

I have tested this feature with experimental version 2019.30790 on Windows 10 (AJA driver 15.2.3) using Corvid 88 but there seem to be a problem when using 8-bit RGB + 8-bit Key (Alpha). Output becomes some sort of mess with heavy artefacts and Video Device Out TOP cooks for about 23 ms on cpu as well as gpu (therefore whole Touchdesigner starts to stutter heavily). However, when I select 10-bit RGB, output is looking fine also with alpha channel (not really sure why). It might be useful to note that this does not work when I select 10-bit RGB just like so. First I had to select 8-bit RGB + 8-bit Key (Alpha) and afterwards 10-bit RGB to make it work.

Also there is one problem I noticed with Video Device Out TOP and AJA. If I just want to output some signal, Video Device Out TOP gives me error “This card needs to have the same frame rate across all outputs”. I know I can’t use different frame rates but I have just one output connected and it should not be a problem in this case. Once I connect some input, add Video Device In TOP and select it, I could then enable Video Device Out TOP (of course with the same frame rate as input) and it works as expected. Thanks

Hello, I just noticed I replied to topic located in Beginners section while my reply is more related to Bugs. Should I repost it in bugs or is it fine here? Thanks.

No need to repost, I just moved it over for you! Thanks

Great, thank you very much.
