I’d like to be able to, from the component’s rightclick menu, get that component to open in a new pane or window. Currently the quickest way to do this seems to be as follows…
select the component, press <[> or alt <]>, make sure the mouse is over the new pane, press enter to enter the selected component in the new pane.
If there was one tricky key combination to do this in one hit, that would be great. I imagine I could make a script that will do this and assign it to an unused function key, but it’s something I do a lot.
I guess the downside would be cluttering up the rightclick menu and also whether you provide intermediate options to choose such as open in new window, open in new horizontal pane or vertical pane.
