RFE: make .csv a supported format for loading into DAT

I know I can select .*all formats when I load a file into a DAT but it’'d be nice if .csv files appeared natively. extra points for automagically setting the delimiter to ‘,’ to make it a nice table straight off.

I know, low priority but still it would be nice. :slight_smile:

Agreed. Especially since my spreadsheet of choice, OpenOffice, doesn’t make it easy to save as a “Tab Separated Values”. I suppose the problem is having commas in the fields, eh? Still would be a nice option to be able to load csv’s even if we have to be careful of the commas.

I echo this RFE. Several data logging programs generate .csv files and it would be great to either have native support for them through the File In DAT or a simple example toe to pull these into TouchDesigner resulting in a clean table we can use.

The file in DAT can read .csv’s by choosing “all file types” in the open dialog.
