RTX5080 NVIDIA Driver error

Trying to get TD working on a RTX5080 running driver version 576.80. Basically anytime a pop up window occurs – including the keys dialog and op create window. The error message is:

“An error occured trying to output to a Window. This bug can likely be fixed by rolling back to NVIDIA driver 555.XX. You may have to Search online for the download page, as the nvidia.com downloads page may not have drivers that old.”

I’ve downloaded older drivers but the issue with the 5080 seems to be that driver version 576.80 seems to be the only compatible one for that chip?

Has anyone else come across this issue, or a fix? Basically it’s impossible to use TD currently as it crashes anytime a window opens.

Hey, is this a laptop? If so, do you have VRR (variable refresh rate) or HDR on?

Yes, it’s a laptop. Both HDR and VRR are turned off.

Nvidia is working on a fix, but no word yet on the solution. There may be some other driver setting that is causing this to occur, if you have anything else you can change or play with.
