Hello all,
I’ve been using sceneChanger from the Palette to put together a Live show with 20 different individual scenes that I need to interact with one at a time.
For now, each scene is just a video playing (I will customize each scene later).
I put some keyboardin.s to change between scenes, Play/Pause and Stop the videos. The system is not perfect yet, but it does the job for now.
I added a Switch TOP after the sceneChanger, so that every time I Stop a scene from playing it switches to a black constant.
It works fine, but if I play scene A. Press Stop. Go to the next scene (B), and press Play again (fire the scene) there is an image of scene A flashing before starting scene B…
So I decided to add the same Switch Top going to Black constant when I press Stop, inside each and every individual scene. I figured that way, when I stop a video, it goes to black, so even if a frame from the last video flashes before starting a new scene, it would be the black frame… but it doesn’t seem to work… there is still a frame flashing.
My guess is that when I fire the next scene, since I use the same keyboard key to fire the scene of the sceneChanger, and toggle the Play button of the moviefilein, it doesn’t do both instantaneously, but the play gets toggled one frame before the scene fire, and therefore the last scene starts playing before the switch actually takes place…
I hope I’m making sense
I guess one way to work this out could be to have a separate keyboard key to fire the scene (which would start out in Pause state), and a second one to toggle the Play button… but I’m trying to simplify things to make it more intuitive while using live… so if anybody has a different workaround idea, it would be great!
Thank you very much.
