Hi everyone,
I’ve been diving deeper into TouchDesigner and love what it offers, but I’m looking to improve my workflows, especially when it comes to deployment, automation, and scalability. I’ve searched around for information but wanted to hear directly from the community to better understand how to optimize my processes.
Here’s what I’m curious about:
- Automating Project Deployment
• When I get a new computer or device, I’d like to have a system in place that automatically installs all dependencies, transfers exact settings, and runs the scripts I need without manual setup. Are there tools or techniques you recommend for automating this process in a TouchDesigner environment?
- CI/CD Practices
• I’m new to automating pipelines but would love to hear about strategies for setting up CI/CD tailored for TouchDesigner projects.
• How do you handle automated testing, builds, or deployments in a TouchDesigner context?
• Are there examples or tools that have worked well for you?
- Cloud Deployment
• What are the best practices for deploying TouchDesigner projects to the cloud?
• Are there particular platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) that integrate well with TouchDesigner for scalability and remote access?
• How do you manage performance and resource requirements in a cloud environment?
- Automation and Version Control
• Are there tools or workflows you use to ensure version control and consistency in your TouchDesigner projects?
• Any tips for improving collaboration and efficiency within a team using TouchDesigner?
I know TouchDesigner isn’t always discussed in these contexts, but I feel there’s huge potential to bring modern development practices into our workflows. If you have any advice, resources, or experiences to share, I’d be extremely grateful!
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and ideas.
Thanks so much,
Ege
