Select DAT by value not finding apostrophes

The select DAT, when selecting by value, doesn’t seem to find apostrophes. It finds other punctuation, but not apostrophes

Thanks for reporting this. I tried putting a backslash before the ’ and it matched it. So there are some unwritten rules.

The popup help (Alt-rollover) and the wiki for that parameter mentions “pattern matching”, which should link to the wiki page Pattern_Matching, which gives examples of TouchDesigner’s pattern matching, like chan* and chan[1-10:2].

But it doesn’t mention using \ as an escape character preceeding '. I will find out which other characters get this treatment and let you know / edit the wiki.
