Similar to the movie file in TOP and point file in POP would it be possible to add input color space options for the point file in TOPs?
Thanks
Alex

Hey Alex,
Is there a reason why you aren’t using the Point File In POPs in the latest version? That is where we will be focusing our time for point clouds going forward.
Hi, thanks for the response,
I’m actually loading multi layer exr files for compositing in TD, right now the only way I know to load those directly into a texture is through the point file in TOP, I could use the point file in POP and convert to TOP based on dimensions. But ideally I’d even load the layers through the movie file in directly.
Thanks for the extra info. So these arn’t point cloud files at all? The Point File In TOP would only do a color space conversion for buffers it deems to be point color though, it wouldn’t change it for all the buffers. It does sound like the Movie File In TOP needs an update more for this case. Do you have an example you can share with it? You can DM me if it’s private
Hey Malcom sorry for taking some time getting back to you,
No these aren’t point cloud files they are AOV passes from a DCC that will be composited in TD. I’ve linked two examples, the “testMultilayer.exr“ was exported from Blender, but for a reason I can’t figure out the layers aren’t showing up in the pointfileinTOP in TD, only the main layer. If I open it up in an openexr viewer I can see all the layers. As for “tao.exr” it shows all the layers in TD.
Let me know if I can provide some more info
Thanks, I think the long term solution is to expand the Movie File In TOP to support importing multiple buffers from .exe files. For now I think you will be stuck using the OpenColorIO TOP to convert the color spaces of the extra buffers from the Point File In TOP
