I know this has been discussed before but it was quite a long time ago and I thought I might ask whether there are any plans on adding Shared Memory DAT? Thanks.
Bumping this. Have had to roll my own, but would love an official implementation.
This might be also very interesting opportunity for data sharing between TD and game engines. Light Act has developed shared memory components for Unity and Unreal which are published as open source code on GitHub.
They use JSON structure to exchange data and I thought it would be great if Shared Memory DAT could be used to control these game engines. (For example VFX Graph or Niagara would be a great companion to TD in effects area.)
Sharing data through OSC is fine, but not as elegant and straight forward as this could be.
