simulating a 2d Physics engine

Saw this nice projection map demo using Aftereffects with the Newton 2D physics plugin

I was wondering what combination of CHOP’s would be needed to create something similar.

Can anyone point me to any TD examples employing 2D physics effects (acceleration, gravity, edge detection, etc)?

could probably use something as a python module in touch088.
