slider_2D a single knob

Hi all,

I’m using a slider_2D from the tuik /slider pane and
I can’t find/figure out for the life of me , how to get rid of 5 knobs to keep a single one.

What I know :

  • it’s a replicator creating them
  • there is most likely a for loop somewhere creating it
  • I am not yet familiar with the cloning feature ← as the flag indicate on each child

thanks a lot in advance

I think if you are looking at the container holding everything (so right when you drag one in), hover your mouse over it and hit F11 until you see a table dat in the viewer. Then you can activate the viewer and edit it, and it has a lot of the settings associated to the TUIK gadgets.

Thanks a lot Daburz!

how could I make it a single one by default <–because I’m tweaking the inside of it and would like to create my own custom .tox.

Endless thanks again

I think there is a version with just a single handle. Or you can basically get the same results by using a plain Slider COMP and then adding a Text TOP in the network and adding it to the background of the comp.

basically, I would just like the equivalent of the
pictslider from Max.

But now come to think of it, fuck it, might even be simpler to simply use a panel chop inside
a container and just get the u v output and scale that.

then just take any .jpeg of a knob and slave it to the uv so that way I have a UI
of indication where I last let go of my mouse

thanks again Elburz

That’s basically what a slider comp is. Use that then replace the background
