hello all’

I am trying to create an automatic slideshow that reads from a folder for “.JPG” files and opens them. I have been successful getting the images as individual nodes available, and I even have it continually checking for new files… thanks to using Replicator and lf Excecutable and modifying apart other projects

Ive got the latest 6 images displaying in TOPs… but I cant composite them or route them anywhere because If I add more images, eventually the Tops of the previous images are no more and all the wires disconnect.

Ideally I would have these layers automatically route through something that wont change as the images change within it. Im not sure if this is a possibility with replicator, and maybe I need to go a different route for this kind of project. Im hoping I can maybe change the filename in the table so that the tops are static… but I cant seem to figure out how

Ive attached the .toe , it works if its in a folder with images with the “.JPG” extension (not “.jpg”)

The Replicator will constantly create and destroy operators as its defining DAT table is updated, so its probably not the route to go here.

I’m not sure exactly how you want everything to work, but I’ve attached a .toe file which changes the files in the Movie In TOPs by changing the filenames in the table. You can then have the Movie In TOP always connected to the rest of your network.

TouchDesigner is case sensitive, so .JPG and .jpg will produce difference results, you’ll likely want to merge both lists together or modify your script to add both extensions to the list.
